Aldi (May 25-31)

This is the entire ad for Aldi in Decatur.  I went ahead and typed everything because, if you’re like me and looking forward to Aldi coming to Huntsville, I’m wanting to learn what they have advertised each week and if it’s a good price or not. 

So for my coupon newbies, here’s a couple things to notice:  they have ground beef for $2.69/lb.  Don’t buy it--a good price for 80% lean ground beef is $1.99/lb.  I stock up if I can find it for less.  They have a bunch of different pickles listed.  This appears to be their regular price, not a “sale” price except for one.  Either way, it is cheaper to buy pickles this week at Publix with a sale and coupon than at Aldi.  The same is true for ice cream this week at Publix.

However, their produce prices can’t be beat this week, they have a good price for a pack of water and the price for a bag of chips is good if you didn’t stock up last week at Publix on SunChips and Doritos :)

Remember, Aldi does not take coupons.  Make sure to bring your own bags and take a quarter for cart rental (you’ll get it back when you return the cart).
