Southern Savers reported on the AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour this morning, so I thought I'd see if they would be in this area anytime soon. They're here starting tomorrow!
They will be at the Walgreens on University on the 24th, in Athens on the 25th, at Mastin Lake Rd on the 26th, in Decatur on the 27th and at Memorial Parkway on the 28th.
Here's what the tour is:
"The AARP/Walgreens Wellness Tour is delivering free health tests and health education to communities across the country with a special emphasis on diverse and underserved areas.
Available tests are worth over $100* per person, and no appointment is necessary. Tests include:
- Total Cholesterol Levels
- Blood Pressure
- Bone Density
- Glucose Levels
- Waist Circumference
- Body Mass Index
* actual value may vary. Participants must be 18 years of age and older"
