This weekend, April 9 & 10, is the Alabama Chicken and Egg Festival in Moulton (southwest of Decatur for those who, like me, have no idea where that is). Admission is $3.00 (kids 5 and under free).
They're having numerous bands headlined by Confederate Railroad, a chicken clucking contest, an egg toss, an egg drop, wing eating contest, a kids area, chicken show, art show and a whole lot more! See the whole list of info on their website.
I'm thinking this is worth the trip just for the fun of saying you went :)
